No. SafeGuard alerts your chosen emergency contacts and helps coordinate your safety circle. Always call 911 directly in a life-threatening emergency.

Do my contacts need the app?+
On Family and Elite plans, contacts receive a secure web tracking link that opens in their browser. They do not need to install SafeGuard.
Does the app track me when I am safe?+
The supplied privacy policy specifies that GPS telemetry is captured only during active SOS sessions, monitored check-ins, or explicit route sharing.
What if I lose cellular service?+
The app is designed to use carrier SMS fallback when mobile data is unavailable. Alert delivery still depends on carrier coverage, permissions, and your device.
How do the five Elite member seats work?+
Elite includes five independent accounts. The primary subscriber can invite four additional family or team members, each with their own account and emergency contacts.
Can I cancel my subscription?+
Yes. Manage or cancel through the platform where you subscribed. For website subscriptions, use the Stripe billing portal from My Account. Cancel Essential before the 3-day trial ends to avoid the first charge. If you cancel a paid subscription, it will stop renewing at the end of the current billing period.
Is stored evidence legally admissible?+
Integrity hashes help preserve evidence, but admissibility depends on the jurisdiction. SafeGuard does not guarantee court admissibility.
